BBC Research

BBC Research

For this task I used secondary research (primarily using the internet)

1.      What media industry is the company involved in?

The BBC is a public funded service. That broadcasts as a service for the UK only. It is compulsory in every TV as people pay the TV licence to fund the BBC.

2.      Who are the company’s main customers (audience)?

Everyone that buys a TV or has a TV with a licence is the BBC’s audience.

3.      How many people does the company employ?

The BBC employs roughly 3,000 people.

4.      Is the company local, national or multinational?

The BBC is a multinational company.

5.      Who owns the company – is it privately owned, part of a bigger group of companies or a public company?

The BBC is owned by the public.

6.      Is it worth YOUR while to work with this client? Why?

Yes it would be worth my while, as I would get a profit depending on how many views I get. Also I may get extra work as someone may enjoy the production that I have made.

The Production process

Pre-production is the process of preparing all the elements involved in a film, play, or other performance.
Post production
is part of the film-making process. It occurs in the making of motion pictures, television programs, radio programs, advertising, videos, audio recordings, photography and digital art.
Production
is the action of making or manufacturing from components or raw materials, or the process of being so manufactured.
